constructed ground

The idea of constructed ground registers the fact that the ground of any site is always already constructed: it is not background; it isn’t flat; it isn’t a tabula rasa. A primary objective of the work is to make the ground visible and legible in its construction and its heterogeneity and to mobilize these conditions in support of everyday spaces.
